Terms of Service

Last updated September 29, 2026

The rules for using Taste: the taste.dev website, the Taste iOS app, the API, README cards and the MCP server for AI agents. Plain-English headings, binding text. Taste is for adults 18 and over.

1. The agreement

Taste (“Taste,” “we,” “us”) is operated by TakeOnePiece LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based at 1 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02142, USA. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding contract between you and TakeOnePiece LLC. They cover the taste.dev website and public pages, the Taste iOS app, the Taste API, README cards and badges, the Taste MCP server and its OAuth connection flow, and every other product or feature we offer that links to these Terms (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, ticking the agreement box in the app, connecting an AI agent, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy and our Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

Please read section 20

It contains a binding individual arbitration agreement and a class-action waiver that affect how disputes between you and Taste are resolved. You can opt out within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, as explained there.

2. Who can use Taste

You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to use Taste. Taste is a network for adults. It has open messaging and public profiles, and it can lead to in-person meetings. We don’t knowingly allow anyone under 18. If we learn that a member is under 18, we will close the account and delete its data.

You also promise that:

  • you aren’t barred from using the Service under the laws of the United States or where you live;
  • you aren’t on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties, and you aren’t located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”;
  • we haven’t previously suspended or removed you from the Service; and
  • if you use Taste on behalf of a company or other organization, you have authority to bind it. In that case “you” means both you and that organization.

3. Your account and its security

You sign in with a third-party identity provider, such as Sign in with Apple or Google, and you must keep it secure. You must give accurate information and keep it current. You may keep only one personal account, and you may not create an account for someone else or share, sell or transfer your account.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including activity by anyone you let use your device and activity by any AI agent, app or tool you connect (section 6). Tell us right away at [email protected] if you believe your account, a device you’re signed in on, or an access token has been compromised. We aren’t liable for losses caused by someone using your credentials, whether or not you knew about it.

4. The Service and how it changes

Taste is a pre-launch product. Features, limits and availability change often. We may add, change, limit or remove any part of the Service at any time, including features you rely on, with or without notice. We may set limits on use, storage, posting, messaging and API or agent calls, and we may change those limits. We don’t promise that the Service, or any content on it, will be available, uninterrupted, preserved or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything you care about.

We may send you service messages (for example about security, your account, or changes to these Terms) in the app, by push notification or by email. You can’t opt out of service messages while you have an account. You can turn off optional notifications in the app or in iOS Settings.

5. Acceptable use

You must follow the Community Guidelines and all applicable laws. In particular, you may not, and may not help or allow anyone else to:

  • harass, bully, threaten, stalk, dox, intimidate or target anyone, or post hate speech, sexual content, content that sexualizes minors in any way, graphic violence, or content that encourages self-harm;
  • send spam, unsolicited promotions, chain messages, bulk or repetitive messages, or run scams, phishing, pyramid schemes or fraud, or fake engagement (including buying, selling or trading follows, reactions, thanks, badges or reviews);
  • impersonate any person, brand or organization, misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or register a username to squat on, sell, or mislead people about someone else’s name or trademark;
  • post or send anything that infringes or misappropriates anyone’s copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, publicity or other rights, or that you don’t have the right to share;
  • share anyone’s private or personal information, including contact details, addresses, IDs, financial data or private messages, without their permission;
  • post or distribute anything illegal, or use the Service to plan or further illegal activity;
  • upload malware or harmful code, or links meant to deceive, track or compromise the people who follow them;
  • access, collect, scrape, crawl, index, mirror or harvest the Service or its data by any automated means (bots, spiders, scrapers, headless browsers, scripts or unofficial APIs). The only exceptions are: (a) the official Taste MCP server and API, used as documented, within your granted scopes and our limits; (b) public README card and badge URLs, embedded as documented; and (c) search engines crawling public pages in line with our robots.txt;
  • use any content or data from the Service to train, fine-tune, benchmark or build a dataset for any machine-learning or AI model, or to build a competing product or a database of members, without our prior written permission;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, bypass or break any security, rate-limit, moderation, block or access-control measure, or access accounts, data or systems that aren’t yours. Good-faith security research reported privately to [email protected] without accessing other members’ data, disrupting the Service or disclosing the issue publicly before we fix it is welcome;
  • interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, or use it in a way that could damage, disable or impair it;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app or Service, except to the extent the law expressly permits despite this restriction;
  • sell, resell, rent or commercially exploit the Service or access to it without our permission; or
  • create accounts by automated means, or create a new account after we’ve suspended or banned you.

6. AI agents, the MCP server and access tokens

Taste lets you connect your own AI agent (for example Claude, ChatGPT or a tool you build) to your account through the Taste MCP server, using a personal access token or the one-click OAuth connection you approve in the app. Your agent can then read and, if you grant the “write” scope, post, reply and react as you. Actions taken by an agent are labelled “via agent.”

  • You are fully responsible for everything your agent does. Every post, reply, reaction and request made with your token or grant is treated as your own action under these Terms and the Community Guidelines, whether or not you reviewed it and whether or not the agent behaved as you intended.
  • Tokens are credentials. Keep them secret, don’t share or publish them, and don’t embed them in public code. Anyone who holds your token can act as you within its scopes. Revoke a token right away in Settings → AI agents if you think it has leaked.
  • Limits and enforcement. Agent access is subject to scopes, rate limits and daily caps that we set and may change. We may throttle, limit, suspend or revoke any token or grant, or disable agent access for your account, at any time and without notice, including when we detect spam, abuse, unusual volume or a risk to the Service or other members. Repeated violations may lead to suspension of your account.
  • Your agent’s provider is your choice. Content your agent reads through the MCP server (for example feed posts, profiles and your notifications) is sent to the AI provider you chose, under that provider’s terms and privacy policy. Taste doesn’t control, and isn’t responsible for, third-party AI providers, clients or agents.
  • No guarantees about AI. AI agents, and any AI-generated suggestions inside Taste, can be wrong, incomplete, offensive or unexpected. We make no promise about the behavior, accuracy or output of any AI system, and you use AI output at your own risk.
  • The MCP server and API may only be used as documented at taste.dev/docs/mcp. No other automated access is allowed (section 5).

7. Your content and the license you give us

“Your Content” means anything you or your agent post, upload, send or connect to the Service: profile details, photos, posts, comments, messages, products, links, README widgets, imported GitHub data, themes and more. You keep ownership of Your Content.

To run Taste, we need your permission to use it. You grant TakeOnePiece LLC and its affiliates a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable (through multiple tiers) and transferable license to host, store, cache, reproduce, process, adapt, modify (for example resize, crop, reformat or translate), publish, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute and create derivative works of Your Content, in any media now known or later developed, for the purposes of operating, providing, securing, improving, developing and promoting the Service. That includes showing your public profile, posts, products and README cards to anyone on the web and in search engines, and featuring public content (with attribution where practical) in Taste’s marketing.

This license continues for a commercially reasonable time after you delete Your Content or your account, so that we can remove it from backups and caches. It also continues for content that others have already reshared, quoted or replied to, and where we must keep it for legal, safety or enforcement reasons. It doesn’t let us sell Your Content to third parties as a stand-alone product.

Public by default. Your profile, username, posts, comments, products and README cards are public: anyone, including people without an account and search engines, can see them at taste.dev. Direct messages are visible only to the people in the conversation, and to Taste where needed to operate, moderate or secure the Service. Don’t post anything you want to keep private.

You promise that:

  • you own Your Content or have all the rights, licenses and permissions needed to grant the license above;
  • Your Content, and our use of it as these Terms allow, doesn’t infringe or violate anyone’s rights or any law, and doesn’t require us to pay anyone anything; and
  • you have permission from any identifiable person who appears in Your Content, where that permission is required.

You waive, and agree not to assert, any moral rights or similar rights you may have in Your Content against Taste or its licensees, to the extent the law allows.

8. Moderation, reporting and blocking

We may, but aren’t obligated to, review, screen, filter, label, rank, limit the reach of, hide, remove or refuse any content, username or account, at any time and for any reason in our sole discretion. That includes content we believe breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or that could create liability or harm for Taste, members or anyone else. We use automated filters and human review. Content that receives several reports may be hidden automatically while we review it.

You can report a post, comment, message or member from its ••• menu, and block anyone. We aim to review reports within 24 hours. We don’t pre-screen everything and we can’t catch everything. We aren’t responsible for content posted by members or agents, and you may be exposed to content you find offensive or inaccurate. If you think we got a decision wrong, email [email protected] and someone other than the original reviewer will take another look.

We may preserve content and account information, and disclose it to law enforcement or others, when we believe in good faith that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with the law or legal process, enforce these Terms, respond to claims, or protect the rights, property or safety of Taste, our members or the public. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

We respect intellectual property and expect members to do the same. If you believe content on Taste infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated copyright agent:

Copyright Agent
TakeOnePiece LLC
1 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02142, USA
Email: [email protected]

Your notice must include:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
  3. identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail (such as the URL) for us to find it;
  4. your name, address, telephone number and email address;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
  6. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must include your signature, the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your name, address and telephone number. It must also include your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you’re outside the U.S., any judicial district in which Taste may be found) and to accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice. We may restore the content 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice unless the claimant tells us it has filed a court action.

Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can create liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe. We may also remove content based on trademark or other intellectual-property complaints sent to the same address.

10. Usernames and premium handles

Your username is your public address (taste.dev/@username). You don’t own your username. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it while your account is in good standing. We reserve many names (for example product paths, brands, famous names and terms that could mislead people), and we may refuse, reclaim, rename or reassign any username, with or without notice, including when:

  • it infringes a trademark or impersonates or misleads people about a person, brand or organization;
  • it is held for squatting, resale or other non-use, or the account has been inactive for a long time;
  • we need it for the Service, or a law, court or dispute requires it; or
  • the account is suspended, banned or deleted.

You may not sell, buy, trade, rent, transfer or offer to transfer a username, inside or outside the Service. Renames are limited (currently to once every 30 days). When you change or lose a username, the old one may be released to someone else, and links to it may stop working or point to them.

Premium handles. Usernames of 1–5 characters are “premium.” They aren’t for sale today and are granted only at our discretion. If we offer them for a fee in the future, a premium handle will still be a license under this section, not property. It will be tied to one account, won’t be transferable, and will remain subject to reclamation for violations of these Terms or trademark claims. The price, term and any renewal terms will be shown to you before you pay.

Taste is free to use today. We may offer paid features, such as premium handles, subscriptions or supporter badges, in the future. If you buy one:

  • Purchases in the iOS app are made through Apple In-App Purchase. They are governed by Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions, and billing, cancellation and refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies. We can’t issue refunds for App Store purchases.
  • For any purchase made directly with us, the price, taxes, billing period and cancellation terms will be shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Except where the law requires otherwise, all fees are non-refundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partial periods, unused features, reclaimed usernames, or accounts suspended or terminated for breaking these Terms.
  • We may change prices prospectively. Changes won’t affect a period you’ve already paid for.
  • Digital items, badges, handles, points and other in-app benefits have no cash value and aren’t redeemable, refundable or transferable unless we say otherwise.

Support links on profiles (such as Ko-fi, GitHub Sponsors or Patreon) and “pay it forward” thanks are between members. Taste doesn’t process, guarantee or take part in those payments, and isn’t responsible for them.

12. Third-party services and links

The Service works with third-party services, such as Apple and Google sign-in, GitHub import and refresh, link previews and site icons, AI providers, and the websites members link to. Your use of a third-party service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We don’t control, endorse or take responsibility for any third-party service, website, product or content. That includes anything you reach through a link, import from GitHub, or buy from a member, and anything a third party does with data you share with it. If a third-party service changes or stops working with Taste, related features may stop working without liability to us.

When you connect GitHub or another account, you authorize us to access and import the data described when you connect, and to refresh it periodically (for example stars and followers), until you disconnect.

13. Taste’s rights and your license to use the Service

The Service, including its software, design, themes we create, badge and card artwork, logos, the Taste name and all related intellectual property, is owned by TakeOnePiece LLC or its licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Service for its intended purposes. We reserve all rights not expressly granted. You may not use the Taste name, logos or trade dress without our written permission, except to link to your own Taste page or to embed README cards and badges as documented.

Feedback. If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for any purpose without compensation or attribution. We aren’t obligated to use it or keep it confidential.

14. Dealing with other members

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, online and offline, including messages, collaborations, deals, hiring, payments and in-person meetings. We don’t screen members, verify identities or claims (verification badges only reflect the specific check described), or conduct background checks. Take reasonable precautions: meet in public places and don’t share financial or sensitive information. Taste isn’t a party to any agreement between members and isn’t responsible for any member’s conduct. To the fullest extent the law allows, you release Taste from claims arising out of disputes with other members. If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code § 1542, which says: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”

15. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Taste and delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or by emailing [email protected].

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your account, your access to any feature, any access token or agent grant, or the whole Service, at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice. That includes suspected violations of these Terms or the Community Guidelines, risk to other members or the Service, legal requirements, inactivity, or our decision to discontinue the Service. Where the law requires, we will give you reasons and a way to appeal. You may not create another account to get around a suspension or ban.

When your account ends, your right to use the Service stops immediately. We may delete Your Content, but we aren’t required to (see the Privacy Policy for retention). Sections that by their nature should survive termination survive it, including sections 7 (license survival), 9 through 14, and 16 through 24.

16. Disclaimers

The Service, including all content, AI-generated output, agent features, badges, rankings and recommendations, is provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults and without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taste and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers and licensors disclaim all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, quiet enjoyment and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or free of harmful components, that content will be accurate or preserved, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service will meet your requirements. We make no warranty about members, their conduct or their content, or about any third-party service or AI provider. You use the Service at your own risk. Some jurisdictions don’t allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Taste or its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data, content or reputation, or for the cost of substitute services. This applies whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), product liability, statute or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of those damages. It covers damages arising out of or relating to the Service, these Terms, the conduct or content of any member, agent or third party, any AI output, or any unauthorized access to or alteration of your account or content.

Our total, aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Taste for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

These limits are an essential part of the bargain between you and Taste and apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose. They don’t limit liability that can’t be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

18. Indemnification

To the fullest extent the law allows, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless TakeOnePiece LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of the Service, including through any AI agent, app or token connected to your account; (c) your breach of these Terms or the Community Guidelines; (d) your violation of any law or any third party’s rights; or (e) your interactions with other members. We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter you must indemnify, at your expense, and you will cooperate with us. You may not settle any such matter without our prior written consent.

19. Apple App Store terms

This section applies if you downloaded the Taste app from Apple’s App Store. It supplements the rest of these Terms, and if there’s a conflict, this section controls for the iOS app.

  1. Parties. These Terms are between you and TakeOnePiece LLC only, not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). TakeOnePiece LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
  2. Scope of license. Your license to use the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The app may also be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where Apple allows.
  3. Maintenance and support. TakeOnePiece LLC is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the app, as specified in these Terms or as required by law. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services for the app.
  4. Warranty. TakeOnePiece LLC is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are the sole responsibility of TakeOnePiece LLC.
  5. Product claims. TakeOnePiece LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it. That includes (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
  6. Intellectual property. If any third party claims that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, TakeOnePiece LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
  7. Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (i) you aren’t located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you aren’t listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. Developer contact. Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to TakeOnePiece LLC, 1 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02142, USA, [email protected].
  9. Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app (for example, your wireless data service agreement).
  10. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

20. Disputes: informal resolution, arbitration and class-action waiver

Please read this section carefully. It requires you and Taste to resolve most disputes by binding individual arbitration instead of in court, and it waives jury trials and class actions.

Informal resolution first

Before filing any claim, you and Taste each agree to try to resolve the dispute informally. The party with the claim must send a written notice describing it, the relief sought, and their contact details. Notices to us go to [email protected] and 1 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02142, USA. Both parties will then negotiate in good faith for at least 60 days, including an individual phone or video conference if either party asks. Any limitation period is suspended during those 60 days.

Binding individual arbitration

If the dispute isn’t resolved informally, any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Service, or your relationship with Taste (a “Dispute”) will be resolved by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, not in court. This includes questions about the scope, applicability, enforceability, revocability or validity of this arbitration agreement, which the arbitrator will decide, except as stated below. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, before one arbitrator. The seat of arbitration is Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Hearings will be held by video conference unless the arbitrator decides an in-person hearing is needed. An in-person hearing will take place in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, or in the county where you live if the AAA’s rules entitle you to that. Payment of filing, administrative and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA’s rules. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could, but only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent needed to resolve that party’s individual claim.

Exceptions

Either party may (a) bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies and stays there; and (b) seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to stop actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation or violation of intellectual property rights, or unauthorized access to or abuse of the Service (including scraping).

Class-action and jury-trial waiver

You and Taste each agree that Disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, private-attorney-general or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims of more than one person or preside over any form of class or representative proceeding. You and Taste each waive the right to a jury trial.

If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a claim or request for relief, that claim or request (and only it) will be severed and decided in court, after all arbitrable claims are resolved, and it will not be arbitrated.

Mass filings

If 25 or more similar demands for arbitration are filed against Taste by or with the help of the same or coordinated counsel, the parties agree that the AAA’s Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules will apply, and the demands may be administered in batches. Any limitation period for a claim is suspended while it waits to be administered.

30-day right to opt out

You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing [email protected] within 30 days after you first accept these Terms (or within 30 days after we first publish a material change to this section, for that change only). Include your name, the email address on your account, your username if you have one, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out doesn’t affect any other part of these Terms.

Changes to this section

If we make a material change to this section, it won’t apply to any Dispute of which we had written notice before the change took effect.

If you live in the EU, the UK or another country where this isn’t allowed

If you are a consumer living in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or another country whose laws don’t permit pre-dispute arbitration or class-action waivers in consumer contracts, this section doesn’t apply to you. You may bring claims in the courts where you live, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of your country.

21. Governing law and venue

These Terms, and any Dispute, are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn’t apply. For any Dispute that isn’t arbitrated, or to compel arbitration or confirm an award, you and Taste consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of, and venue in, the state and federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. This doesn’t take away any mandatory protection of the law of the country where you live, or your right to sue there where the law gives you one. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, unless the law requires a longer period.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here and update the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable advance notice, for example in the app, by asking you to accept the new version, or by email. Changes take effect when posted, or on the date we state, and apply going forward. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

23. General terms

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Community Guidelines and any feature-specific terms we show you, are the entire agreement between you and Taste about the Service. They replace any prior agreements on that subject.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, or severed, and the rest of these Terms stays in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our written consent. We may assign these Terms freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets.
  • Force majeure. We aren’t liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of hosting, network or third-party providers.
  • No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship. There are no third-party beneficiaries except as stated in section 19.
  • Notices. We may give you notice in the app, by push notification, or at the email associated with your account. You must send legal notices to [email protected] and 1 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02142, USA.
  • Language and headings. Headings are for convenience only. If we provide a translation, the English version controls to the extent the law allows.
  • Export and sanctions. You must comply with all applicable export-control and sanctions laws when using the Service.
